The Thomas Industrial Catalog Platform underwent a comprehensive overhaul. Despite boasting a decade of operation and serving over 3000 clients, the platform had begun to exhibit declining key performance indicators (KPIs) and increased friction, particularly within its mobile application.

Numerous challenges were identified, including high drop-off rates, multiple friction points, ambiguous user flows, and a subpar mobile experience. However, through our initial user testing and subsequent user feedback, significant improvements were observed. Notably, users reported significantly faster item discoverability, largely attributed to the enhanced adoption of filters within category pages and the refinement of catalog architecture and navigation.

Moreover, there was a noteworthy 20% increase in downloads of CAD files and product specification sheets. The friction previously experienced in the checkout process was successfully mitigated, leading to a remarkable 30% increase in the value of items added to shopping carts.
